Description
The State of Vermont is seeking a qualified firm to perform comprehensive financial audit services for the Vermont Veterans’ Home, including the preparation and electronic submission of Medicare and Vermont Medicaid cost reports and, if required, a Single Audit. The engagement covers a three‑year initial term with two optional one‑year renewals, beginning July 1 2026. The contractor must meet state‑specific compliance certifications (worker‑classification, climate‑change, conflict‑of‑interest, etc.) and submit a full electronic proposal package.
• Perform audit of internal financial reporting, general‑ledger accounts, and issue audited statements for management, board, and state finance officials.
• Prepare and file Medicare and Vermont Medicaid cost reports; conduct a Single Audit if federal grant thresholds are met.
• Provide management commentary on internal controls and comply with extensive state contractual provisions (insurance, data security, indemnity, etc.).
