The County is seeking a turnkey disaster recovery solution that includes software, hardware, and components for a full operational system/solution. The solution must provide a disaster recovery platform for VMware environments, support reliable failover and failback capabilities, and meet the County's required Recovery Point Objective (RPO) of 4-24 hours. The proposed solution must also provide centralized management, monitoring, and orchestration for replication, failover, failback, and recovery operations. Key features include direct VM-to-VM replication, near-continuous replication, efficient data transfer, and security features such as encryption and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). The solution must support disaster recovery for approximately 3800 virtual machines, with a total configured capacity of minimum 1.3 PB.
Some of the key requirements include:
• Support for VMware vSphere and Azure VMware Solution (AVS)
• Low Recovery Time Objective (RTO) of 4-24 hours
• Low Recovery Point Objective (RPO) of 4-24 hours
• Centralized management, monitoring, and orchestration
• Direct VM-to-VM replication
• Near-continuous replication
• Efficient data transfer through compression, de-duplication, encryption, and incremental replication
• Security features such as encryption and RBAC
• Support for secure connectivity to Azure VMware Solution (AVS)
• Granular level of reporting and auditing capabilities
• Service Level Agreement (SLA) with reporting on backup success rates and operational anomalies
