Description
The County is seeking a contractor to replace the cooling tower and associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at the Missoula County Detention Facility, with an optional alternate to install a new water‑cooled chiller. The work includes demolition of existing equipment, drilling and installing a supply and injection groundwater well, installing new heat‑exchangers, pumps, glycol feeder units, and full electrical and control system integration, plus site restoration.
• Demolition of existing cooling tower, boiler, chiller, pumps, and related piping.
• Drilling and development of a supply well and injection well, including sub‑mersible pump and directional‑drilled underground piping (minimum 6‑ft cover).
• Installation of new water‑cooled chiller (optional alternate), new chilled‑water and condenser‑water pumps, flat‑plate heat exchangers, glycol feeder tank, controls, and associated electrical work (VFDs, breakers, wiring).
• Full testing, commissioning, and warranty provision; compliance with Montana prevailing‑wage, insurance, bonding, and record‑keeping requirements.
