Scrap Tire Collection and Recycling Services RFP

Mecklenburg County is seeking a vendor to provide scrap tire collection and recycling services. The vendor will be responsible for collecting and recycling scrap tires from the County's Metal & Tire Facility, as well as providing staffing to accept tires and verify required documentation. The contract will be for an initial term of three years, with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms. The vendor will be evaluated based on their qualifications, experience, and approach, as well as their cost effectiveness and value. • The vendor must have experience in performing similar services, including scrap tire collection and recycling. • The vendor must have the necessary equipment and staffing to perform the services. • The vendor must be able to provide detailed reports on the number of tires collected and recycled. • The vendor must be able to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the North Carolina Scrap Tire Disposal Act.
