HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE AND DEPARTMENT WASTE DISPOSAL NO. II

The County of Ocean is seeking a contractor to provide household hazardous waste and department waste disposal services. The contractor will be responsible for collecting, transporting, and disposing of hazardous waste from various county departments. The contractor must have a valid USEPA identification number and a valid license from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to collect and transport hazardous waste. The contractor will also be required to provide certification from the ultimate disposal facility utilized that all wastes were received and disposed of in compliance with all existing federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. • The contractor must be able to begin working within 30 days of receiving a purchase order. • The contractor must provide a site-specific technical approach, including types and sizes of equipment and proposed methods of handling and loading. • The contractor must submit a detailed Health and Safety Plan and a Spill Prevention and Contingency Plan. • The contractor must have a valid USEPA identification number and a valid license from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to collect and transport hazardous waste. • The contractor must provide certification from the ultimate disposal facility utilized that all wastes were received and disposed of in compliance with all existing federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
