Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD/CBOD) Automated Analyzer

The City of St. Petersburg is seeking quotes from qualified vendors to provide an automated Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD/CBOD) analytical system for use in environmental laboratory operations. The system should be able to support continuous compliance testing required for Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) permitting of Water Reclamation Facilities (WRFs), as well as Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP) and SWAMP requirements. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, software, tools, equipment, documentation, and parts necessary to perform the services, including on-site installation, setup, and commissioning, as well as comprehensive operator training for laboratory staff. • The system must have a capacity to hold a minimum of thirty-six (36) 300 mL BOD bottles. • The system must be capable of automated sample handling and sequential processing without manual intervention. • The system must have automated diluent addition pump for precise and repeatable dilution preparation. • The system must have automated seed addition pump for biological seeding requirements. • The system must have automated inhibitor addition pump for CBOD analysis applications. • The system must have integrated Dissolved Oxygen (DO) meter system with optical DO probe. • The system must be capable of accurate initial and final DO measurements for BOD calculations. • The system must have software to fully control system operation, including autosampler sequencing, pump operation, DO measurement acquisition, data calculation, and reporting. • The system must support data export and integration with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). • The system must store and manage full analytical records for traceability and QA/QC purposes. • The vendor must provide a minimum two (2) year warranty from the date of final acceptance by the City.
