SNOW REMOVAL AND DE-ICING SERVICES

Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation is seeking bids for snow removal and de-icing services at multiple departmental facilities. The contractor will provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform snow and ice removal for select locations within the Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Department. The contract will be for a period of three years with an option to renew for two additional years. • Snow plowing and salting will be done in a manner to have parking lots and sidewalks cleared one hour prior to building openings. • Plowing is to occur when snow fall accumulates to 1 inch or more. • Salt will be spread in the parking lot prior to building opening after plowing or when slippery or icy conditions exist. • The contractor must provide an annual end of season bulk salt quantity report for the site. • All service requests by WCPARC staff are to have a maximum response time of two hours. • Snow must be properly placed to minimize loss of parking spaces. • The contractor shall not use plow shoes when plowing. • Prior to the plowing season, the contractor shall place their own plow markers and visit the site to confirm no changes to infrastructure, landscaping, or layout have occurred.
