Cedar Falls Fire Main Replacement

The City of Seattle is seeking bids for the Cedar Falls Fire Main Replacement project, which involves the construction of a replacement fire water system to service the area surrounding the Cedar Falls Powerhouse and associated facilities. The project includes approximately 550 LF of 6 inch DI pipe, corrosion protection, fire hydrants, removal and disposal of contaminated soils, and other miscellaneous removals and surface restoration work. The Engineer's Estimate for this project is $400,000. Bidders are expected to have examined the project site and must submit their bids through OpenGov as specified in the bid documents. • The project requires bidders to provide a bid guaranty in the amount of five percent of the Total Bid, including retail sales tax. • Bidders must comply with the requirements regarding subcontracting and the purchase of supplies or materials from firms that are not disqualified or otherwise debarred from doing business with the City. • The City has established an Inclusion Plan to promote the use of woman-owned and minority-owned business enterprises (WMBE) on the project. • Bidders must earn at least 10 points on the Inclusion Plan to be considered responsive.
