Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking applications for the Global Brain and Nervous System Disorders Research Across the Lifespan program. This program aims to support collaborative research on brain and nervous system disorders that leverages the unique scientific contexts of low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The research should focus on the full spectrum of neuro-health across the lifespan, including neurological, neuromuscular, sensory, neuropsychiatric, neuroinfectious, cognitive, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental disease. • The program encourages basic, clinical, translational, and implementation research approaches. • Projects should foster collaborations between scientists in the U.S. and LMICs to drive scientific advancement and the development of innovative, cost-effective interventions. • At least one organization in the U.S. and at least one organization in a LMIC must be involved as partners in each application. • The program is open to various types of applicants, including state governments, private institutions of higher education, and non-profit organizations.
