Description
The State of Maine is seeking a contractor to provide custodial services for the Brunswick Readiness Center. The services include daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly tasks such as cleaning restrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, and polishing stainless steel elevator doors. The contractor must provide all necessary equipment and supplies, except for certain materials that will be provided by the State. The contract will be for a period of five years, with the option to renew for an additional five years. The contractor must submit a detailed plan of action in case of an emergency situation where their company has a reduction in workforce.
• Daily tasks: checking trash receptacles, emptying and relining them, vacuuming carpets, sweeping and damp mopping floors
• Weekly tasks: cleaning restrooms, cleaning and sanitizing drinking fountains, cleaning and polishing glass and mirrors
• Monthly tasks: polishing stainless steel elevator doors, wiping refrigerator exteriors, cleaning microwave exteriors
• Quarterly tasks: buffing VCT floors, deep cleaning tiled floor areas in bathrooms, high-level dusting
• Semi-annual tasks: cleaning ceramic floor tile and grout, thoroughly cleaning reception areas, stripping and refinishing tile floor areas
• Yearly tasks: stripping and re-polishing VCT floors, cleaning exterior windows
