I-70 Eagle Airport Interchange Planning and Design Services

The Town of Gypsum is seeking a consultant to provide professional engineering services for the planning and design of the I-70 Eagle Airport Interchange. The project includes tasks such as updated traffic analysis, preliminary design, NEPA process, and final design. The consultant will work with the Town, CDOT, and FHWA to ensure compliance with regulations and to obtain necessary approvals. The project is expected to take approximately 6 years to complete, with 3 years for design and 3 years for construction support. • The project will involve designing an interchange to provide direct access to the Eagle County Regional Airport. • The consultant will be responsible for tasks such as surveying, subsurface utility engineering, and utility coordination. • The project will require compliance with CDOT's Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) process and NEPA regulations. • The consultant will work with the Town to develop a project management plan and schedule. • The project will involve coordination with local and national utility companies to ensure infrastructure is identified and costs are estimated.
