Replacement Transformer Enclosure

The US Coast Guard is seeking a contractor to replace the transformer enclosure for the 750KVA shore power transformer at the USCGC Aspen, located in Homer, AK. The contractor will be responsible for procuring and installing a new, painted stainless steel transformer enclosure, removing and disposing of the existing enclosure, and replacing any corroded lugs. The work must be completed within one of the specified date windows in winter/spring 2026. The contractor must provide all necessary equipment and personnel to complete the work safely and efficiently. Some key requirements of the project include: • Procuring and delivering a new transformer enclosure • Removing and disposing of the existing enclosure • Replacing any corroded lugs • Installing new labels and placards on the enclosure • Providing a brief written report to the USCG upon completion of the work • Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including the National Electrical Code (NEC)
