Design Services for Orlando Flood Mitigation by Drainwell Replacement (Block Grant)

The City of Orlando is seeking a consultant to provide design services for the replacement of 13 drainage wells in low-to-moderate income urbanized areas. The consultant will be responsible for conducting a conditions assessment, developing a conceptual design, and creating construction plans and specifications. The project is expected to take 43 months to complete and will be funded through a Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program. • The consultant will be required to have experience with similar projects and demonstrate an understanding of the project's scope of work. • The consultant will be evaluated based on their qualifications, experience, and approach to the project. • The consultant will be required to submit a qualification statement, which will include information about their experience, qualifications, and approach to the project. • The consultant will be selected based on their qualification statement and an interview with the City's Advisory Committee. • The project will require the consultant to work with City staff and other stakeholders to ensure successful completion. • The consultant will be required to provide construction phase engineering services, including attending progress meetings and reviewing shop drawings. • The consultant will be required to provide a complete and detailed design that will culminate in a bidding package of construction plans and specifications. • The consultant will be required to coordinate with the City to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
