The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking a certified Small Business (SB) or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) to provide trash, compost, and recycling collection, hauling, and disposal services in Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to provide these services. The contract is estimated to start on April 1, 2026, and end on October 1, 2027. • The contractor must have a valid Motor Carrier Permit issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to environmental health hazards and workers' compensation. • The contractor must provide proof of insurance and maintain adequate insurance coverage throughout the term of the contract. • The contractor must respond to routine service requests within three working days and non-routine service requests within 24 hours. • The contractor must complete all work assigned by Caltrans Contract Manager in accordance with the scope of work and service request.
