The Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District is seeking bids for the purchase of Liquid Emulsion Polymer for use at the Nine Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant. The polymer will be used for thickening incoming sludge to a minimum of 22% total solids for the centrifuge, 5.8% for the DS GBT, and 6.4% for the WAS GBT. Bidders must participate in full-scale performance trials to determine the necessary dosage of the polymer. The contract term will be 24 months, and the District reserves the right to receive competitive bids from all bidders involved in the 2026 full-scale polymer trials on a 12-month basis.
Key points to consider:
• The polymer must meet specific specifications, including a storage life of at least 3 months, a pH of less than 8.5, and a product viscosity of less than 35,000 cP at 70°F.
• Bidders must provide a written guarantee of product consistency throughout the term of the contract.
• The contract will be awarded based on the lowest lump sum bid from a responsive, responsible bidder who meets all specifications.
• The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any technicality and accept any bid that may be advantageous to the District.
