The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking to procure a custom control electronics system replacement for an Ultrastable Cavity-laser System. The replacement electronics must provide Pound-Drever-Hall laser frequency stabilization, temperature control for the Electro-Optic Modulator (EOM) and vacuum chamber, and all necessary components for the system's full functionality at the user's laboratory. The desired outcome of this procurement is to obtain a reliable and efficient control electronics system that enables precise laser frequency stabilization and temperature control, ultimately supporting the advancement of scientific research and development in the field.
• The system must include a SYNCRO control unit in a 19”, 3 height units enclosure,
• Customized configuration to upgrade the existing locking electronics,
• Servo loop electronics for Pound-Drever-Hall laser frequency stabilization with high-bandwidth PIID controller,
• ORC-TEC Temperature Controller for temperature stabilization of EOM and vacuum chamber,
• Installation of SYNCRO unit at user’s lab in Boulder, CO.
The performance objective is to achieve stable and precise control of the laser system, enabling researchers to conduct high-quality experiments and gather accurate data.
