The U.S. Army is seeking a qualified, licensed mechanical and electrical contractor to replace four failed commercial‑type HVAC units and perform related electrical furniture hookups in Building 185 at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The work includes safe shutdown, refrigerant recovery, demolition, installation of three 3‑ton and one 1.5‑ton high‑efficiency split‑system units, electrical reconnections, thermostat installation, testing, balancing, commissioning, and site cleanup. The contract will be awarded on a Lowest‑Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis under a firm‑fixed‑price ceiling of $150,000, with a 100 % small‑business set‑aside. • Replace 3 × 3‑ton and 1 × 1.5‑ton commercial HVAC units (minimum 16 SEER). • Provide refrigerant recovery per EPA 608 and proper disposal. • Perform additional modular office furniture electrical hookups. • Conduct testing, balancing, and commissioning with a full report. • Follow Davis‑Bacon wage requirements and all applicable FAR/DFARS clauses. • Work hours: 7:30 AM‑4:30 PM, M‑F; site visit recommended 10 Sep 2026.
