Description

The Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District (GCCISD) is soliciting proposals for the disposal of surplus technology equipment. The selected vendor will be responsible for the pickup, transportation, data destruction, recycling, resale, and environmentally responsible disposal of surplus technology equipment on an as-needed basis. The contract term is for one year with an option to renew for four additional years. The district is looking for a vendor that can provide secure, compliant, and efficient disposal services for technology equipment that has reached the end of its useful life or is otherwise deemed surplus. Some of the key services required include: * Pickup and transportation of surplus technology equipment from various district locations * Inventory verification and asset tracking * Secure handling and chain of custody for all equipment * Certified data destruction for hard drives, solid-state drives, and other electronic storage media * Environmentally responsible recycling and disposal of electronic equipment * Refurbishment, resale, or remarketing of eligible equipment * Issuance of Certificates of Data Destruction and Certificates of Recycling or Disposal upon completion of services * Reporting that identifies equipment collected, disposition method, serial numbers, and any revenue returned to the district

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $200,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the district does not guarantee a specific quantity or frequency of equipment available for disposal. However, based on the scope of work and the services required, a reasonable estimate for the annual budget could be in the range of $50,000 to $200,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the vendor will be responsible for disposing of a significant amount of equipment, and that the district will pay a fee for these services. The actual budget will depend on the specific terms of the contract and the amount of equipment that needs to be disposed of.
