Description

The County of Orange Health Care Agency is seeking applications from qualified licensed facilities for the Community Care Expansion (CCE) Preservation Program. The program aims to provide funding for the rehabilitation of eligible licensed adult and senior care facilities that serve Supplemental Security Income/State Supplementary Payment (SSI/SSP) or Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI) applicants and recipients, including those who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Eligible facilities may apply for two forms of CCE Preservation Program financial assistance: Operating Subsidy Payments and Capital Projects. • The Operating Subsidy Payments will provide up to $1,000 for each resident receiving SSI/SSP or CAPI. • The Capital Projects will provide funds for physical repairs or upgrades to prevent facility closure or meet licensing requirements. • The program will prioritize facilities at the highest risk of closure and those serving the highest percentage of qualified residents. • The funding is expected to benefit approximately 200 individuals and 25 facilities. • The program will conclude by September 30, 2028, for Capital Projects and March 31, 2029, for Operating Subsidy Payments.

The actual budget may vary depending on the number of facilities and individuals served, as well as the specific needs of each facility. The funding will be used to provide Operating Subsidy Payments and Capital Projects, and the reimbursement rate for Capital Projects will be determined based on demonstrated need and priority.
