Medical-Infectious Waste Removal Services

* The Alabama Department of Mental Health is seeking bids for medical infectious waste removal and disposal services for its facilities. * The contract will be for 36 months with an option to extend for two additional 12-month periods. * The contractor will be responsible for collecting, transporting, treating, and disposing of medical infectious waste from the facilities. * The contractor must provide all necessary equipment and comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. * The facilities include Bryce Hospital, Harper Geriatric Center, and Taylor Hardin Secure Medical. * The pickup schedule will be one to three times per week, depending on the volume of waste generated. * Bidders must provide proof of insurance coverage, including general liability, automobile, and excess liability insurance. * Bidders must also provide a complete copy of the E-Verify memorandum of understanding and verify every employee according to federal rules and regulations. * Four bid submissions are required: one original and three copies.
