Description
The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) in Houston, Texas, is seeking information from potential vendors to provide two DHT STV-90030-10D-CU vertical steam-to-water heaters, including steam, condensate, domestic water, controls, and safety devices. The contractor will be responsible for supplying and installing the heaters, as well as providing startup, commissioning, and operator training. The contractor must also provide a standard installation warranty covering workmanship, labor, and installation-related defects for one year from the date of substantial completion or startup.
Key requirements include:
• Providing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required to install the heaters
• Ensuring the heaters operate with the Building Management System (BMS) and receive alarm/status signals and water heater settings adjustment through BMS
• Providing comprehensive operator training upon completion of installation and successful startup
• Assigning a dedicated Project Manager responsible for full oversight of the project
• Coordinating all site access, shutdowns, hot-work permits, and safety requirements
• Managing schedule, manpower, subcontractors, and material procurement
