Sole Source Contract for Underwater Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) System

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is seeking to purchase a highly rugged, single-operator-portable, observation-and-intervention-class underwater remote operated vehicle (ROV) system optimized for explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), mine countermeasures (MCM), maritime security, and infrastructure inspection in high-risk environments. The ROV will have a propulsion system, Imaging System 4K camera, depth range of a minimum 300 meters, and have a lifting payload of 25 lbs. Key features of the ROV system include: • A propulsion system for movement and maneuverability • An Imaging System 4K camera for high-quality video and imaging • A depth range of at least 300 meters for operation in various water environments • A lifting payload of 25 lbs for carrying and retrieving objects • Optimization for EOD, MCM, maritime security, and infrastructure inspection in high-risk environments.
