Sole Source Purchase for New Mexico Speech and Debate Program

The University of New Mexico is seeking to make a sole source purchase for the New Mexico Speech and Debate Program. The program is intended to plan and implement the 2025-2026 New Mexico Speech and Debate Program in accordance with the Legislature’s intent. The program includes coordinating statewide high school forensics competitions, recruiting and retaining new teachers and coaches, and collaborating with the Law School to create enriching experiences for both high school students and the Law School’s students. The program will be implemented by the New Mexico Speech and Debate Educators Foundation, Inc. (NMSDEF). Key aspects of the program include: • Coordinating statewide high school forensics competitions • Recruiting and retaining new teachers and coaches • Collaborating with the Law School to create enriching experiences for both high school students and the Law School’s students • Ensuring the safety of all participants in the Program • Abiding by all policies of the University of New Mexico (UNM), including but not limited to UNM’s Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual Policy 2205: Minors on Campus
