RFP for Tow Service

The City of Blue Springs, Missouri is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors to provide towing services for the City. The contractor will be responsible for providing light duty recovery, medium duty recovery, heavy duty recovery, winching service, dollie/flatbed service, accident clean-up, service calls, and storage and associated services. The contract will be for three full years from the date of contract, with the option to renew for one or two additional one-year terms. • The contractor must have a minimum of four trucks, 1 Ton or larger, with a minimum GVW of 19,500 pounds. • The contractor must have a secure storage area within the corporate limits of the City, capable of containing a minimum of 60 full size sedan type vehicles. • The contractor must provide for the release of vehicles unassisted by City personnel. • The contractor must have a 24-hour, 7 days a week including holidays, manned telephone at the office/dispatching center. • The contractor must maintain a list of trucks and their vehicle identification numbers (VINs) to be used by the contractor at the signing of the Contract and on an annual basis thereafter.
