Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking a qualified contractor to provide maintenance and continued development of the SCRIBE app, which is used to transcribe data collected during aerial wildlife surveys into text files suitable for further analysis. The contractor will also work on integrating the SCRIBE app with the SUMMIT app to make the workflow easier for end users. The period of performance for this request will be from March 30, 2026, to December 31, 2026.
Some key features of the job include:
• Maintaining the existing SCRIBE app and working on enhancements to the newest Electron version
• Providing technical support to employees of the USFWS that have technical problems with the SCRIBE or SUMMIT application
• Integrating the SCRIBE app with the SUMMIT app to support a comprehensive workflow for the user to enter data, import files, and summarize these data using filters
• Diagnosing and addressing technical problems with the SCRIBE or SUMMIT application
• Correcting bugs in the app that may be causing issues
