Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking potential sources capable of supplying custom packs for scheduled procedures in the Operating Room, Interventional Radiology, and Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The custom packs will be tailored to specific needs of Clinical and Logistical staff to improve patient care, improve utilization, and reduce waste. The contractor will be responsible for pack assembly/manufacture, sterilization, quality assurance, and packaging, as well as electronic communication ordering and reporting. The contract will be a firm-fixed price, IDIQ Base Plus Four Year Contract. Some key requirements include:
• Providing custom surgical packs with no interruption of source for scheduled procedures
• Meeting the brand name and/or providing an equal product
• Producing and delivering custom packs within 24 weeks of the initial order
• Maintaining a 3-month supply on hand and a 95% acceptance rate
• Providing quarterly inventory reports
• Complying with federal, state, and local regulations
