Resource-based Centers for Bone, Muscle and Orthopaedic Research

The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) intends to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications for Resource-based centers to provide critical research infrastructure, shared facilities, services, and resources to groups of investigators conducting research on bone, muscle, and orthopaedic research. This will enable them to conduct individual or team-based science research projects more efficiently and effectively. The overall goal is to accelerate, enrich, and enhance the effectiveness of ongoing basic, translational, and clinical research and promote new research within the NIAMS mission. • The opportunity is for resource-based centers to support research on bone, muscle, and orthopaedic research. • Applications are not being solicited at this time, but potential applicants are encouraged to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects. • Collaborative investigations combining expertise in bone, muscle, and orthopaedic research will be encouraged. • The estimated application response date is November 3, 2025. • The estimated award date is July 1, 2026.
