Description of Goods or Services to Be Bid: The objective of this RFP is to competitively solicit a request for proposals which will result in MTA New York City Transit (“Authority”) selecting and contracting with a firm (“Consultant”) that will, on an as requested basis, provide the Authority and, under the management and supervision of the Authority project manager (“PM”), Metropolitan Transportation Authority (“MTA”) and other MTA affiliates and subsidiaries (hereafter also called "Authority") with worldwide, material inspections at vendor facilities and quality/technical audit services and, as required, inspections at the point of construction sites, at right of ways, and at post delivery locations (the “Services”). These Services are for both in-process and finished materials. Consultant shall ensure conformance to Authority specifications, drawings, and vendor’s contract terms and conditions, prior to the acceptance for shipping or release of materials.
