Opioids and Emerging Drug Death Analyst Position for Genesee County ME Office

The Genesee County Medical Examiner's Office is seeking a qualified individual for an Opioids and Emerging Drug Death (OEDD) Analyst Position. The analyst will play a vital role in supporting forensic investigations by analyzing, interpreting, and reporting toxicological data obtained during postmortem examinations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, experience with toxicology, and the ability to work with complex datasets. Key responsibilities include collecting and analyzing toxicology data, interpreting laboratory results, and collaborating with toxicologists and investigative personnel. • Collect, organize, and analyze toxicology data from postmortem and antemortem biological samples. • Interpret laboratory results in relation to case circumstances and medical history. • Assist in the development and maintenance of toxicology databases, dashboards, and reporting tools. • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of toxicological data used in forensic casework. • Collaborate with epidemiologists, forensic scientists, and public health officials on data-driven research and surveillance projects. • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all applicable legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
