Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking information from potential providers of search software solutions to support the Threat Screening Center (TSC) in its mission to consolidate the United States Government's approach to terrorism and national security threat screening. The TSC requires enhanced technical solutions to automate time-intensive, repeatable manual tasks entailing large volumes of data across multiple domains. The desired solution should provide an AI-enabled knowledge base, federated search with summarization and source attribution, identifier-driven federated reporting with citation retention, natural language query and dataset synthesis with source transparency, predictive modeling using enhanced data with traceable lineage, and dynamic data visualization with natural language query and source traceability. • The solution must comply with the FBI's AI ethical standards and be approved by the FBI's AI Ethics Council. • The solution should provide automation of time-intensive, repeatable manual tasks. • The solution must support version control awareness and ensure responses align with current policy. • The solution should demonstrate the ability to maintain data lineage and transparency in how information was derived. • The solution must allow users to leverage natural language queries to search across enterprise datasets and receive synthesized or summarized responses.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate as the document does not specify a budget or a specific payment amount. However, based on the complexity of the requirements and the fact that the FBI is seeking a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution, the budget could be substantial. The FBI's budget for IT solutions can range from a few hundred thousand dollars to several million dollars, depending on the scope and complexity of the project. Therefore, a rough estimate for the budget could be between $500,000 and $5 million.
