Eradication Advisor

The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is seeking a Personal Services Contractor (PSC) to serve as an Eradication Advisor. The advisor will provide specialized expertise to advise, oversee, and assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of manual eradication methods, operational tactics, and strategies. The advisor will work closely with the Colombian government, the Ministry of Defense, and other stakeholders to support bilateral counternarcotics efforts. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in policing, law enforcement, security, and counter-narcotics, with a strong background in project management, budgeting, and organizational analysis. Key responsibilities will include: • Advising and assisting INL Bogota-sponsored activities in support of illicit crop eradication operations • Assisting the Ministry of Defense, Colombian Armed Forces, and the Colombian National Police to bolster eradication effectiveness and improve coordination of eradication campaigns • Coordinating with the Colombian National Police and the Colombian military on communications and intelligence systems • Serving as the primary operational advisor to the OCCN Division • Assisting in the preparation of required reporting, such as the annual budget request for International Narcotics, Crime and Law Enforcement (INCLE) funds • Establishing and maintaining internal management control systems to ensure that INL Bogota programs are not subject to waste, fraud, or mismanagement.
