Stormwater Pond Upgrade

The Sanford Airport Authority is soliciting competitive, sealed proposals from interested and qualified firms to provide construction services for the Stormwater Pond Upgrade project. The project includes pond expansion, relocation of the existing perimeter road, filling in the north portion of the pond, clearing and grubbing, regrading the existing pond, and removing and replacing the existing pipe under the fence. The project is expected to be completed within 114 calendar days. The authority is seeking a contractor to perform the work, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder. • The project includes pond expansion to the south of the existing stormwater pond. • The project includes relocation of the existing perimeter road to be outside the pond expansion limits. • The project includes filling in the north portion of the pond that is north of the existing taxilane hold bar to the east. • The project includes clearing and grubbing the area between the existing overflow ditch and the existing pond and grading the area to be mowable. • The project includes regrading the existing pond to remove all 6:1 slopes and replace with 4:1 slopes. • The project includes removing and replacing the existing pipe under the fence southeast of the existing pond.
