Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to Philips North America dba Philips Healthcare for enterprise digital telepathology equipment maintenance and support services. The proposed action will provide comprehensive preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, replacement parts, software updates/upgrades, and end-user technical support for Philips digital telepathology systems deployed across VA Medical Centers nationwide.
• The contract will have a one-year base period with four one-year option periods.
• The total estimated value of this requirement is anticipated to be within the range of $6 million to $7 million over the five-year period of performance.
• The contractor shall provide support to all VA medical centers that have Philips digital telepathology equipment.
• The service scope will grow as new equipment is obtained, with approximately 20 locations utilizing the BPA in the Base Year and up to 60 locations by the fourth Option Year.
