Description
The Los Angeles Community College District seeks a qualified firm to provide state‑budget and legislative‑advocacy consulting services. The contractor will act as the District’s primary liaison with California state‑budget officials and legislators, monitor and influence budget and policy decisions, produce regular legislative updates, and represent the District before relevant committees. The contract is initially one year with up to four one‑year extensions, and compensation is a monthly retainer ranging from $6,000 to $12,000.
• Core duties include budget advocacy, legislative monitoring, policy brief development, and on‑the‑ground representation before state bodies.
• Required deliverables: weekly update calls, monthly written/oral reports, a legislative matrix, and coordination of appointments with legislators and staff.
