CATS IV Streetcar Truck Overhauls

The City of Charlotte is seeking a qualified vendor to perform comprehensive overhauls on the Siemens trucks used in the CATS IV streetcar system. The work includes hydraulic, braking, low‑floor axle, wheelset, and journal bearing maintenance according to OEM recommended intervals (15‑year/270,000 mi, 300,000 mi, and 6‑year/310,000 mi). The selected contractor will receive the trucks, execute the overhaul to OEM standards, and coordinate shipment back to the city’s Rail Inventory department.
