Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide on-site bed and equipment management services at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. The services will include managing specialty beds, mattresses, gurneys, wheelchairs, video monitor systems, infusion and feeding pumps, and other equipment. The contractor will be responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining the equipment, as well as providing tracking and inventory management services. The contractor will also be required to adhere to HIPAA guidelines and follow patient and staff interaction guidelines.
Some key responsibilities of the contractor will include:
• Providing patient-ready equipment to requested locations
• Inspecting and cleaning equipment between patient admissions and discharges
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking equipment usage
• Coordinating with hospital staff to develop tracking software and ensure equipment is properly maintained
• Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures
• Providing excellent customer service to patients and staff
