Description
The City of Salina is seeking a contractor to design and construct a new scale‑house building and associated entrance improvements at its municipal solid‑waste landfill. The scope includes demolition of the existing scale house and truck scale, installation of two new NTEP‑certified above‑grade truck scales, construction of a new scale‑house building (including an ICC‑500 storm shelter), utility‑garage slab, extensive pavement work, fencing, gates, lighting, storm‑water drainage, a 1,500‑gal septic system, and all related site work, erosion control, and temporary facilities. The contractor is responsible for all construction, material procurement, sub‑contracting, testing, training, and warranty compliance, while the City provides free landfill disposal of demolition waste, a new safe, appliances, and furniture.
