Description
The Marine Force Reserves has a requirement for non-personal services to provide full-time support in the area of small boat maintenance and operations across 5 geographically separate boat lockers within the 4th Marine Division. The primary duty location is aboard Fort Sam Houston at the 4th Reconnaissance Battalion Headquarters and Service Company Home Training Center in San Antonio, TX. Regular travel to the locations is integral in this position's responsibilities. The required support services are intended to assist the battalion's amphibious and boat chief's and, in all matters, requiring professional and technical collaboration, maintenance, and operational training advisement and support.
• The contractor shall develop daily operational briefings/reports/information documents pertaining to amphibious boating operations for approximately 96 pieces of equipment.
• The contractor shall be capable of basic analytical skills pertaining to amphibious and maintenance operations.
• A minimum of 5 years of US Military watercraft and engine maintenance, training and instruction experience is preferred.
• The contractor shall provide technical support to maintenance and material management.
• The contractor shall maintain the boat locker publications library in accordance with US Marine Corps orders and directives.
