Description
The Los Angeles Community College District is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide comprehensive state‑budget and legislative‑advocacy services. The contractor will act as the District’s primary liaison with California state budgeting entities, monitor and influence legislation affecting community colleges, and deliver regular reporting and strategic advice to senior district officials. The contract is initially for one year with up to four optional one‑year renewals and is awarded on a cost‑and‑experience‑based evaluation.
• Serve as the District’s point of contact with the California Department of Finance, Legislative Analyst’s Office, and budget committees.
• Provide weekly legislative update calls, monthly written/oral reports, and maintain a legislative matrix of higher‑education bills.
• Develop and present an annual budget‑priority agenda, arrange meetings with legislators, and testify on behalf of the District when needed.
