NOTICE OF INTENT TO SINGLE SOURCE SYMBIONT SERVICE CORP

The County of Collier is intending to designate Symbiont Service Corp as a single source for the provision of Symbiont heater and cooler units, parts, services, and repairs for County owned aquatic facilities. The Symbiont GeoThermal Pool/Spa heater is a critical component in maintaining required water temperatures at County aquatic facilities. The County currently operates 54 Symbiont GeoThermal Pool and Spa Heater units across various facilities. • The single source designation is due to Symbiont being the sole distributor of the Symbiont GeoThermal Pool/Spa heater manufactured by AquaCal. • The Symbiont GeoThermal Pool/Spa heater includes a five year labor and seven year parts warranty. • Any repairs performed by an unauthorized repair facility will void the warranty for the Symbiont GeoThermal Pool/Spa heater. • The County is seeking to maintain the functionality of its aquatic facilities and provide residents and visitors with pool amenities.
