Regional Water Supply Resiliency Project ("Secure the Source Project") - NDA Requirement

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) is seeking proposals from qualified companies to provide services for the Regional Water Supply Resiliency Project ("Secure the Source Project"). The project aims to develop a long-term solution to provide a secondary water source to the Potomac River water supply, benefiting the entire metropolitan region. The selected consultant will perform a preliminary engineering study and 35 percent design in accordance with the requirements outlined in the 1986 Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) Section 203. Key aspects of the project include: • Developing a secondary water source to the Potomac River water supply • Performing a preliminary engineering study and 35 percent design • Compliance with the 1986 Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) Section 203 • Submission of the recommended project to the Assistant Secretary of the Army (ASA) for authorization by the U.S. Congress
