Description
The School District of Philadelphia is issuing four separate bids (General, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical) for a comprehensive renovation of the Sayre Morris Recreation Center. The project is classified as an Alteration Level 2 renovation (less than 50 % of the building area) and includes demolition, structural repairs, interior finishes, pool/natatorium upgrades, and full MEP systems replacement. The procurement package contains detailed specifications, drawings, and an added specification for bathtubs and showers (Section 224017). Bidders must attend a mandatory site walk on May 13 2026 and submit full proposals by the extended bid opening date of June 11 2028.
• Scope covers demolition, concrete, masonry, metal framing, interior wood casework, finishes, specialty equipment (pool, lockers, AV/security), fire‑suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and low‑voltage systems.
• All work must comply with Philadelphia Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Fuel‑Gas, Plumbing, Fire, and Energy codes, as well as ADA accessibility standards and NSF‑61/372 product requirements.
• No substitutions are allowed during the bidding period; any changes will be handled post‑award.
• The contract will be awarded separately for each trade package (NG10790‑NG10793) and will require strict adherence to submittal, warranty, and QA/QC procedures outlined in the General Conditions.
