Description
The City of Salina is seeking a qualified construction contractor to replace the existing scale house and entrance at its municipal solid‑waste landfill. The work includes demolition of the current scale house and truck scale, construction of a new scale house with full architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, installation of two NTEP‑certified 50‑ton truck scales, building a utility garage with associated approach slab, installing a new 1,500‑gal septic system, extensive earthwork, pavement, fencing, gates, and landscaping, as well as coordination of utility relocations and traffic control. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, and equipment (except owner‑supplied items such as the safe and water heater) and ensure compliance with all specified standards, including storm‑shelter rating and radiation detector requirements.
