RFP # 18 OF 2026 - ARMED SECURITY SERVICES FOR ERIE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES

The County of Erie is seeking proposals for armed security services for the Erie County Department of Human Services. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing security personnel to man the front lobby of the department's building and perform other duties as specified. The contract term is for 5 years, and the vendor must provide an annual price for each year of the contract. The vendor must also meet certain qualifications and certifications, including Act 235 certification, NIMS, DHS Anti-Terrorism, First Aid/CPR/AED, and physical capability. The vendor will be evaluated based on personnel qualifications and certifications, contractor qualifications and training, operational plan and staffing approach, equipment and technology proposal, and vendor experience and past performance. • The vendor must provide security personnel who meet all required credentials and certifications. • The vendor must have a training program in place to ensure that security personnel are adequately trained. • The vendor must have a quality assurance program in place to ensure that security services are provided in accordance with the contract. • The vendor must provide equipment and technology that is sufficient, reliable, and appropriate for the security services to be provided. • The vendor must have experience providing comparable armed security services and a good professional reputation.
