6515--VISN Cepheid GeneXpert Testing Supplies Sources Sought Notice

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking sources that can provide Cepheid GeneXpert Testing Supplies for the VISN 5 Wide VA Medical Centers. The supplies include Cepheid GeneXpert consumables, such as test kits and reagents, for use in microbiology testing of patient samples. The vendor shall provide the ability to ship reagents on an "As Needed" basis and ensure that the reagents have the furthest expiration date possible. The contract will be a firm fixed price, Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for a base year and four option years. Key requirements include: • Providing Cepheid GeneXpert consumables and reagents for microbiology testing • Shipping reagents on an "As Needed" basis • Ensuring reagents have the furthest expiration date possible • Providing emergency plan in case of defective reagents • Reimbursing the facility for reference laboratory costs related to tests sent to a referral laboratory
