Raleigh Convention Center Expansion

The City of Raleigh is seeking prequalification applications from subcontractors for the Raleigh Convention Center Expansion project. The project involves the construction of a 322,000SF expansion across the street from the current Raleigh Convention Center, featuring a 50,000SF flex hall, 18,000SF flex hall, commercial kitchen, meeting rooms, and administration/support spaces. The project is expected to start in Q4 2026 and last for 36 months. The City encourages participation from certified HUB/MBE/DBE firms and supports efforts to ensure and promote opportunities for minority and women-owned business enterprises. • The project requires prequalification of first-tier subcontractors. • The prequalification application must be submitted through BuildingConnected's Bid Form module. • The City's prequalification policy has been included in the document as Appendix A. • The Construction Manager at Risk is Clancy & Theys – Skanska – D.A. Everett, a Joint Venture (JV).
