Downtown Thread Trail Norfolk Southern Railroad Crossing Re-Advertisement

The City of Conover is seeking bids for the Downtown Thread Trail Norfolk Southern Railroad Crossing project. The project consists of general site demolition, installation of proposed sidewalk, fencing, railroad crossing, and associated grading and erosion control. Bidders must comply with the requirements of the State of North Carolina and be appropriately licensed as a Contractor. The City of Conover has a HUB requirement of 10% and encourages equal access and opportunity to participate in all aspects of construction projects. • The project requires bidders to provide a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid. • The City of Conover reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, or to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids. • The City of Conover encourages bidders to make a good faith effort to utilize minority businesses. • The project is subject to various federal and state laws, including the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Davis-Bacon Act.
