The Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) is seeking information from industry leaders to identify potential sources and solutions for a modern, comprehensive, and cloud-based Marine Corps Food Management Information System (MCFMIS). The system should provide a tool to determine subsistence requirements, conduct inventory, generate and modify recipes and menus, analyze nutritional content, and capture point of sale information. The solution will be a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) based system extended to meet the Marine Corps' unique needs. Key functional and technical requirements include core food management, point of sale, system interfaces, technology, data management and analytics, and support services.
Some of the key features required in the system include:
• Menu planning and recipe management
• Nutritional analysis and product ordering
• Inventory control and meal production
• Financial and budget management
• Point of sale and headcount recording
• Integration with existing DoD systems
• Cloud-based platform with full offline functionality
• Compliance with DoD security standards and Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Data warehousing and business intelligence capabilities
• Mobile application with mobile ordering capability
• Support for field feeding operations and deployable units
The Marine Corps is looking for a perpetual corporate license with unlimited users for the use of the software, and the solution should be able to operate in both connected and disconnected environments.
