Detention Center Medical Services

Iredell County is seeking a company to provide on-site medical and mental healthcare services to detainees at the County's Detention Center. The services should include dental, prescribing, pharmacy, routine mental health screening, and any necessary outpatient and inpatient services. The provider will be responsible for delivering a full spectrum of medical services, including initial intake health screenings, ongoing primary and chronic medical care, emergency medical services, mental and behavioral health services, and more. The provider will also be responsible for managing medical records, providing pharmaceutical services, and ensuring continuity of care. The contract will be for an initial three-year term with the option for additional twelve-month extensions based on performance. Some key requirements for the provider include: * Providing on-site licensed nursing coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week * Ensuring that all individuals in custody receive timely, appropriate, and medically necessary care * Delivering telehealth services to supplement on-site medical and psychiatric care * Providing quality assurance reports and participating in annual cross-training with Detention Center staff * Responding to inmate medical grievances in accordance with the Vendor's internal grievance policies and procedures * Ensuring that all medical information is transferred in a manner that maintains confidentiality and supports uninterrupted continuity of medical and mental health care. The provider will be compensated on a monthly basis, with the first month's payment due upon completion of contract negotiations and execution of a fully executed agreement. The County reserves the right to terminate the agreement for any reason with 90-day written notice or for the Company's failure to follow the terms of the agreement.
