Description
Washington County’s Housing Authority (HAWC) and Department of Housing Services (DHS) are seeking qualified individuals or firms to act as independent Hearing Officers on an as‑needed basis. The contractor will conduct impartial hearings, reviews, and grievance resolutions for a wide range of housing‑program related matters (public housing, HUD vouchers, Section 504 accommodations, tenant disputes, etc.), prepare written decisions within ten business days, and maintain confidentiality and due‑process standards. The contract is initially for two years with an option to extend up to five years, and the estimated total spend is about $50,000. Proposals must be submitted electronically by September 30, 2026, 2:00 pm.
